NOTE: This Web site is designed to be viewed in Microsoft's© Internet Explorer.

We are in the process of updating the site to HTML5 standards. As such, we ask that you please be patient as we have to update each and every page individually, and this takes time. If a link/page does not load correctly, please know that we are working on it, so please check the link/page again in the near future. We appreciate all the visits, and look forward to getting all links/pages up and running as soon as we possibly can. It is HIGHLY recommended that you "refresh" this page by pressing the F5 key on your keyboard to ensure that you are loading the most recent version of the page before continuing.

The BIGGEST difference that you will find between this Web site and others that offer downloads for the various flight simulations is that whenever possible I have attempted to create an "installation" program for the downloads...No more having to create folders, and then copying and/or moving files. The installation program does all of this for you...AUTOMATICALLY. So, where possible, all you have to do is to simply double-click on the installation program and enjoy! I strongly encourage you to visit the Installation Program page to see how this program works before downloading any of the wonderful add-ons from this site. To start your experience, simply click on one of the links to the left...

ABOUT THESE AIRCRAFT

Downloads from this page are for 64bit operating systems and for Microsoft© Combat Flight Simulator 2 ONLY, and should not be on 32bit operating systems or used in CFS1, as we have versions of the aircraft for 32bit operating systems and for CFS1. The aircraft found on this page have been designed by members of ABSquad. These aircraft are not "mods", but are true "add-ons". Much time and effort has gone in to the creation, design, and testing of each and every one of the planes found here on this page. We have and always will strive for "historical accuracy" in the planes we design. Specifications for the aircraft in most cases come directly from the manufacturer, or sites on the Internet that are dedicated to these planes. Their flight characteristics, handling, speed, armament, and look are as close to the real thing as Combat Flight Simulator 2 will allow (at least we think so...). They are not 100% accurate because of those limitations - but we feel that they are closer than anything else that is currently available. Download them...fly them...then decide for yourself.

NOTE: The CFS2 x86 Ultimate Weapons Pack only needs to be installed once for the ABSquad aircraft. You do not have to install it each time you install a new aircraft. Once it is installed, it is available for all aircraft. You would only need to install it again if you completely uninstall CFS2 and then re-install it.

SOVIET AIRCRAFT x86:

CFS2 Ilyushin AB-IL-2 Sturmovik CFS2 x86 Ilyushin AB-IL-2 Sturmovik (2.13MB). The IL-2 was the Soviets main ground attack aircraft. Heavily armed, and even more heavily armored, this plane excelled in it's designated role as a ground attack aircraft, and had moderate success by skilled pilots even in air-to-air combat due to good maneuverability and the implementation of team tactics in squadrons. By: AB_Lt_Cmd_RikerNOTE: You MUST install the CFS2 x86 Ultimate Weapons Pack in order to be able to use the new "enhanced" weapons, as it is not included with the aircraft in an attempt to keep the file size down. The CFS2 Ultimate Weapons Pack x86 only needs to be installed once for the ABSquad aircraft. CFS2 Lavochkin AB-La-5FN CFS2 x86 Lavochkin AB-La-5FN (2.52MB). The La-5FN entered service in 1942, and was superior to the German fighters at low and medium altitudes. The La-5FN introduced metal wing spars and reduced fuel capacity for weight saving, a higher rated version of Shvetsov engine and wing slats to improve combat maneuverability. CFS2 Lavochkin AB-La-7 CFS2 x86 Lavochkin AB-La-7 (5.20MB). The La-7 was by far the most outstanding radial engine fighter in the Soviet Air Force during World War II. Together with the Yak-3, Yak-9U and the Yak-9P, it was superior to the Fw-190's and the Me 109G-10 operating on the Eastern Front. By: AB_Lt_Cmd_Riker. CFS2 Polikarpov AB-I-16 CFS2 x86 Polikarpov AB-I-16 (11.03MB). When the tiny I-16 flew for the first time in December 1933, it was far ahead of any other fighter design in the world, featuring retractable landing gear, a cantilever wing and variable pitch propeller. Although not among the best remembered aircraft of the thirties, it was nevertheless a very able and rugged machine and featured prominently in the events of the time. The outstanding maneuverability, firepower and rate of climb, surprised the enemy leading to the opposition nickname of Rata (Rat). By: AB_Lt_Cmd_Riker. CFS2 Yakovlev AB-Yak-9U CFS2 x86 Yakovlev AB-Yak-9U (2.32MB). The Russian Yak-9U fighter was the most important Russian fighter of World War II. Due to the YAK-9's incredible speed, handling, reliability and firepower, German Messerschmitt Bf-109's and Focke-Wulf 190's suffered enormous losses. The Luftwaffe reported over 94,000 aircraft missing in action during World War II, and more than 62,000 of these were from the Eastern Front. In fact, during the final week of the war, one Soviet squadron averaged one kill for each 31 rounds of ammunition expended. By: AB_Lt_Cmd_Riker.
